Mo’Nique is definitely ready for her closeup! The Oscar-winning actress, now filming “A Meyers Christmas” with Gabrielle Union, Nicole Ari Parker, Kimberly Elise, Romany Malco, Jessie Usher and others, posted this gorgeous photo from the set.

Mo’Nique posted this photo from the set of “A Meyers Christmas,” filming now in Atlanta.
“A Meyers Christmas,” also starring Gregory Alan Williams, Ric Reitz, Alkoya Brunson, Johnny Land, Richard Molina and Richard Molina, is about a dysfunctional family gathering for the holiday for the first time since the death of their mom.
Union, the star of locally filmed BET series “Being Mary Jane,” also serves as an executive producer. Super producer Will Packer, the movie mogul behind “Straight Outta Compton,” the two locally filmed “Ride Along Movies,” “Think Like a Man” and its sequels among other hit titles, is producing.
We got a chance to talk with Mo’Nique earlier this year, just before the debut of her indie “Blackbird.”
“When people say to me, ‘You’re so straightforward,’ my response is, ‘Are you not?’ When did honesty ever become a secret?,” she said. “I don’t know any other way to be. We speak of Hollywood like it’s this magical, mysterious place. It’s just a place, made up of people.”
She also appeared in the HBO movie “Bessie,” which filmed in Atlanta, this year. It starred Queen Latifah in the title role with Mo’Nique as Ma Rainey.
